As we close the door on 2025, we are doing so with full hearts and lots of gratitude. Before we share what the next year has in store, we want to take a moment to look back at the moments and connections that made this year so special for our community.
What to Expect When You Join Girlfriends Boston
When you join Girlfriends Boston, you are joining a community that loves trying new things together. We host a wide variety of activities, so there truly is something for everyone. In 2025 alone, we shared over 60 events together.
Kicking Off the Year Together
We started 2025 by coming together to manifest our goals and dreams during our vision board event. Throughout the winter, we bundled up for ice skating, learned how to knit cozy scarves, and gathered for our annual Galentine’s and birthday party, which is always a favorite.
Moving, Learning, and Trying New Things
Every year, we love exploring different ways to move our bodies together. In 2025, that included barre, salsa classes, pole dancing, kayaking, puppy yoga, and more. One of our favorite things to hear is when members tell us they have found a new hobby or a new workout buddy through Girlfriends Boston.
Spring Creativity and Career Inspiration
Spring brought out our creative side with pottery painting, a jewelry-making workshop, and our very first pizza-making competition. We also hosted our popular annual Dreams & Degrees panel, where we heard inspiring career stories and connected with like-minded women.
Summer Favorites
During the summer months, we hosted some of our most-loved events, including picnics, potlucks, and cruising along the Boston coast in electric boats. These easygoing gatherings are all about connecting and enjoying the city together.
Giving Back as a Community
Giving back is an important part of who we are. This year, we volunteered together at Walk for Hunger, partnered with Give n’ Glow to pack and donate beauty products to shelters around Boston, and participated in Boston Strides at the Rosé Soirée to support breast cancer research and patient programs.
Fall Traditions and Winter Moments
Come fall, you will always find us cruising along the Charles with apple ciders in hand, soaking in the beautiful foliage. This year, we also stepped out of our comfort zones at our beginner heels workshop. As winter rolled in, we embraced the cozy vibes with candle-making workshops and a joyful Friendsgiving celebration.
Girlfriends Book Club
Our book club meets once a month to discuss a new book. Everyone is welcome, and there is absolutely no pressure to finish the book. Sometimes it is just about good conversation and a little yapping with great company.
Beyond Events: Community That Connects Daily
We always offer a variety of events so you can choose what fits your interests, whether that is a movie screening, a food tour, or something you never thought you’d try.
Outside of events, our group chats are always buzzing. We have neighborhood groups for casual walks and after-work coffee dates, nightlife groups for those who enjoy going out, and groups for grabbing a drink at the end of a long week. Girlfriends Who Eat is one of our most active groups, where food lovers explore new restaurants and organize mystery dinners together.
Chances are, if you have a special interest, there is a group for it. And if there is not yet, there are always other girlfriends ready to start one with you. That is exactly how our Girlfriends Who Love Broadway group recently came to life.
